The Shonai River, ceiling river in this area, runs behind the dam.. Water will be poured over the Araizeki dam and flow into the banked-in park

Tokai region, particularly Aichi Pref. had record heavy rainfall from September 11 to 12, 2000. Approx. 37% of Nagoya City got inside or outside water inundation disaster. Maybe this photo was taken from the tall building which you see in the photo above. Please focus the blue building in the two photos, then you will find the positional relationship..
