Bonenkai is year-end social gatherings of company workers, business and other friends,
in order to look back on the year's events, forget the unhappy things and look ahead to the
new year with a fresh spirit, which usually held at Japanese or Western-style restaurants and pubs.
Litteral meaning of bonenkai (忘年会）is "forget year party".
