Chojamachi was one of the three great textiles and apparel wholesale districts with
Yokoyama-cho in Tokyo and Domburiike-suji in Osaka.

The core of textile industries moved to abroad, and
the influence of global downturn in textile and apparel industies
also has been cast a long shadow on this district.
But now they are trying to boost the economic development of their area.

You can buy fablics, textiles, kimono, bedclothes, etc. in good price.

On the 3rd (?) Saturday and Sunday of November, Yebisu Festival is held and
clothings are sold for very low price.
