Designated as Aichi Prefecture's Intagible Folk Cultural Asset
In 1598, Soemon and local farmers beat wild pigs by using a ladder and
protected their rice field.
Then, they could get a rich harvest in that year.
People has been praying for a rich harvest without wild pigs' appearance
and offering the lion dance on a scaffold since 1599.
The lion dance is performed approx. 30 minutes on the 9m-high scaffold
in each number .
