The Hashigo-jishi (Lion Dance on a Scaffold) was introduced by Oaki Village,
Aichi-gun (now Oaki-cho, Nakamura-ku, Nagoya) to Owaki Village approx.
400 years ago.
They have been offering their performance to pray for a rich harvest in
their area.
