This festival is designated as Aichi Prefecture's
Intangible Folk Cultural Asset and has been held annually
since the Momoyama period (over 400 years ago)

Local men hold 3m in length and 80cm in diameter torches
and wave them with the rythm of hayashi-music.

In 1575, there was a big battle which calld "Nagashino-no-kassen" between Takeda troops and Oda-Tokugawa allied troops
