ODEN

ODEN is a kind of stew and made in a big pot.
A variety of ingredients is put to simmer.
Among the favorites are hard-boiled egg, giant radish,
atsuage (deep fried bean cured),
konnyaku ( devil's tongue jelly,), hampen (fish cake), potato,
octopus, chikuwa ( fish -paste roll ),
and chicken, etc.
It's very popular on a cold day.
