A row of sakura trees between Takaoka Subway Station (Sakuradori-Izumi
2/桜通泉二 intersection) and Shirakabe (白壁)
is one of the best spots to enjoy the beauty of early flowering. sakura.
There are approx. 140 sakura trees.
Most of them are "Ohkanzakura(大寒桜)., but we can also enjoy several dark red Kanhizakura(寒緋桜).
16 sakura trees were planted first in 1961, but now only 6 trees are surviveing.
Generally trees here are young and small, but stiil impressive.
