Shinmei-Gu Grand Festival
(Nomi Shinmeigu Grand festival/能見神明宮大祭）

The 2nd Sunday of May and Saturday one day before.

Shinmei-gu Grand Festival is called "Shinmei-san" by local people and
one of the three grand festivals of Okazaki with Sugao Jinja Grand Festival and Okazaki Tenmangu Grand Festival..

Saturday

10:30- Festival Eve Ceremony Shinmei-gu main shrine
13:30- offering of "Otome no mai" dance Shinmei-gu Kagura-den
15:30- entertainments precincts of Shinmei-gu
17:00- Eve of a festival/ all the floats gather at the shrine Yoimatsuri-kaijo
19:00- Fireworks precincts of Shinmei-gu

7:30- Togyo/portable shrine leaves the shrine Shinmei-gu
12:00- Main Festival shinmei-gu main shrine
12:30- Floats go around the town each area
13:30- Offering of "Otome no mai" dance Shinmei-gu Kagura-den
15:30- entertainments precincts of Shinmei-gu
19:20- Floats start for the shrine from Shinmei-bashi (bridge)
-21:30 all the ceremonies finish Shinmei-gu


Togyo

This ceremony still keeps a very traditional
festival style even now.
The deity of Amaterasu-Oomikami, which transfered
to the portable shrine,
visit Otabisho(temporaly spot for having break)
which settled each blocks.
Then people wish the safe of their area
and get purification.
