Takayama Matsuri (Takayama Festival) is known as one of the three most beautiful festivals in Japan with Gion Matsuri (Gion Festival , Kyoto) and Chichibu-Yomatsuri (Night Festival in Chichibu, Saitama Pref.). Beautiful, fantastic and gorgeous floats made by Hida-no-Takumi (special woodworkers who have high technique in Hida district) are carried through the streets. They are just like a moving art museum.
