Tori no Karaage

Tori-no-karaage (deep-fried chicken) is easy and quick main dish.


4 servings

* bite-sized chicken thigh or breasts 500g
(thigh meat is better)

@: For the marinade For the coating other
soy sauce : 20cc
sake : 10cc
yogurt : 1 tablespoon

If you like, add grated garlic or
ginger-root juice to the marinade.

plain flour : 2 tablespoons
salad oil for deep frying

sliced tomato, cucumber, cabbage, etc.
to garnish

* In a bowl, mix together chicken and @
* Pour away the surplus marinade sauce

* Let sit for 15-20 minutes.
2 - * Mix the plain flour
(After you mix the flour, please fry them ASAP. If you leave them, they become sticky)
3 * Heat the oil to 180 @(350 °F) and deep-fry the chicken pieces until golden brown.
Don't cook over high flame, because their surface will be over-cooked
before their inside are cooked.
4 * Serve on a plate garnished with vegetables
