TSURUMA PARK
(’ß•‘Œö‰€/Tsuruma Koen)
Oldest park in Nagoya opened in 1909 (Meiji –¾Ž¡42)
You can see lots of beautiful flowers in seasons.

The Kanji "Tsuruma" is ’ß•‘ (lit. cranes dance).
People often call "Tsurumai Koen"like a name of the JR or subway
station.
However, the formal and original name is ‚‚é‚Ü(Tsuruma). "Tsuruma" means "a place where water runs".
Later people use the kanji ’ß•‘ as phonetic equivalent and read it "Tsurumai"
An elementary school near here is named "Tsuruma"Eelemetary School"
and library is "Tsuruma" Library..
