Mochi-tsuki is a traditional process of making mochi, rice cakes.
It`s made by pounding steamed glutinous rice in a mortar made of wood or stone.
Usually it's made for New Year's Day or
for other celebratory occasions like festivals、wedding ceremony, cerebration of longevity, etc.
