Late March
Around Tsujisakae-bashi /Tsujisakae Bridge
Kurokawa Yuzen-Nagashi was started in 1999 to promote the town and to recover
the Kurokawa (river). From the Edo period until the 1970s, this process of Yuzen, washing away starch from the piece goods, had been kept by many studios in this area. However after the early 80s, water became very dirty by the sewage contamination. In 1998, water from the Yahagi River was taken to the Kurokawa and after that Kurokawa became clean little by little. |
